PORONGURUPS - A GLORIOUS DAY FOR A RIDE

Ross and John discussing the merits of
Z Kawasakis.

By Jan Bond

SUNDAY February 27 turned out to be a glorious morning. A good selection of bikes set out from the Amity, for a ride via Lower King and Chester Pass Road to Narrikup.
Three more bikes joined us and we rode on to Mt Barker for a short break. We then headed for Porongurup National Park for lunch.
Bill and Shirley Brown being faster that the rest of us had already commandeered two of the three tables and chairs under the gazebo. An aging couple sitting at the other table soon left!
FOOTNOTE: Monday morning John had a doctor's appointment. After the consultation, as usual, he was asked how the motorcycling was going etc. Apparently on Sunday the doc's mother and father-in-law had gone to the Porongurups for a quiet, peaceful lunch and all these bikes turned up. Oh dear!! She thought it was HELL'S ANGELS.
(Some of us are getting closer to the
angels than you think!)
