It was the “Not the Boxing Day Ride” but it felt more like winter, although the South Coast wasn’t alone as Perth was only 22C, strange weather.
When we took off from the info bay it wasn’t especially cold, but sunny and very windy. It was pretty wild riding along Menang Road with the bike getting blown around.
Melissa had ridden down from Perth to be with Wendy and Andrew and I don’t think she’d ridden in conditions like it before, but she rode very well.
By the time we got to Denmark, where Dan and Geoff were waiting for us, the showers were getting quite heavy and frequent, with the temperature dropping.
Even so we were there chatting for over an hour before heading home in between showers, and this we did well as when I arrived home my jeans were still dry (although I was on the RS which has a nice fairing).
As soon as the bike was in the shed there was a huge downpour, it was difficult to see the house, so we did do well. Whatever the weather there’s nothing like being on a bike, good fun.
