This was Ron’s first bike that he bought in 1953 for 10 pounds - bet you wished you still owned it, Ron? Introduced in 1935 the MSS completed the MM range from Velocette and the engine dimensions had much in common with the factory's Senior racing machines.
Capable of 80mph plus performance, the MSS was a well-regarded machine of the period. It also had a new, heavier frame which was utilized with the intention that the machine could serve as a sidecar hauler. This new frame was developed from the MkV KTT racing machine, and was shared with the KSS MKII of 1936–1948. The MSS also proved very popular and profitable for Veloce.
