It was warm, but there were some very black clouds around as we
rode out to the meeting point for the afternoon ride. We were
down on numbers a little, but there were still around 20 on the
ride. Maybe the chance of rain and being close to Christmas
could have stopped a few.
There were a variety of bikes from old to new and both Honda
trikes. Stopping at Elleker for an ice-cream, we were met by
Ronnie and Antoinet. Geoff had ridden in from Denmark on a
beautifully restored 1966 Triumph Bonneville.

John and Jan then took us on a meandering ride to Frenchmans Bay
via Grassmere-Elleker Road and then through Robinson Estate.
As we rode down the hill towards Frenchmans the sky was black,
but the Bay was in sunshine, and looked spectacular. For a
change all the BBQ’s were working well.

A variety of beers, soft drinks, wine and coffee was brought out
to accompany the sizzling snaggers and steaks - very enjoyable.
We spent a while socialising before those clouds were starting
to look more menacing and it was decided to head for home.
We headed into a very light shower just before Albany and a few
spots after, but nothing like what I was expecting. A most
enjoyable afternoon. Thanks Andy for doing back-up duties.
