Pink Ribbon Ride
Our annual Pink Ribbon Ride to raise funds for research into breast cancer was very well attended with around 30 bikes, quite a few with pillion passengers. Wes and Barbara made the trip in from Bremer Bay on the infamous yellow Ducati!
After leaving the Amity we stopped at the Porongurup Store for morning tea and more chatter! We then headed on to Denmark via Mt Barker and the Denbarker Road. Rain seemed to threaten but didn’t amount to much.
Waiting to join us at the pagoda in Denmark were Betty, Jan and Rhonda. The raffles were drawn after we had finished lunch. The winners being:
- Betty - Pink Champagne and a scratchy.
- Linda - A Pink Beach Towel (donated by Wombat Lodge)
- Ronnie - A door chime made and donated by Ike Van Melle.
- Alex - A voucher from the Cutting Corner Hair Salon.
- Robin & Raelene - Perfume (donated by the Hacienda Pharmacy)
- The major prize was the bra filled with chocolates and covered in scratchies (donated by the AVCMC) was won by Richard - who denied he could undo it with one hand!
This year we raised $406. Thank you to all who made the event so successful.
