The Sidecar Ride

Serried ranks of sidecars

It was a 1 pm start at the Amity Tavern for Bondy's Sidecar Afternoon Tea Run. There was a great turn-out of 6 sidecar outfits as well as Bob & Mary on their BMW Trike. It was also good to see visitor Ed Shekell and his grandson along for the ride, John had generously lent them one of his outfits.

There were also, of course, numerous Club Members on solos as well. John had laid out a good route with us heading up Chester Pass Road before turning into Yellanup Road towards Narrikup for a short break. Then it was down Albany Highway before turning along Millbrook Road towards the Bonds' residence for afternoon tea.

Jan had been hard at it and there was a good supply of mouth-watering scones, cakes etc, for sweet-toothed people like me, as well as hot drinks. All the work that was put in by Jan and John was very much appreciated, so thanks again. Thanks also to Ray Closel who did back-up duties.
