Denmark | Dumbleyung | Hillclimb | Shoot | Trials | Calendar

What great weather - after such crook weather last time we had a Club run, today made up for it. There were well over 20 bikes, with riders, pillions and sidecar passengers assembled at the Amity Tavern.
We rode along the Lower Denmark Road, turning off at the Grasmere
Road to Muttonbird.
For a couple of kms before Muttonbird the road is smooth and twisty -
lovely.
After a look at the beach and tightening of one of Matt’s nuts! -
(on his bike), we headed back to the Denmark Road, towards Youngs
Siding for a drink or ice-cream. We were joined there by Mike from
Denmark on his old BSA and Ronnie
from Torbay on his 70’s Harley.
It was now a straightforward ride to Denmark.
Once over the bridge about half decided to stop by the river and the
rest rode up to the look-out at the top of Mt Shadforth.
What a great
road this is, twisty and fairly steep, my AJS 500 single sounded great.
The view up the top is pretty good too, overlooking the estuary.
Back to the river for lunch where we were joined by Josie Wellington
her early model Suzuki.

After lunch most headed home, but a small band of 6 riders and back-up took the scenic ride out to Ocean Beach - also a nice road. It was then time to top up the tank and head back to Albany.
Excellent day, thanks to Ken for going back-up.
