Cheynes Beach

Cheynes Beach - good mixture of bikes.A sunny, windless morning in April brought a lot of riders, 24 in all, to the car park of the Amity Tavern for the ride to Cheynes Beach. The group split up into two groups. The longer ride took in Kamballup, South Stirlings and Many Peaks and the shorter one, Marine Drive, Lower King, Hunton Road with a break at Upper Kalgan before heading towards Cheynes.

Ray checking out the bikes. At the Upper Kalgan Tearooms, bikes seemed to be coming from all directions - I'm not really sure what happened there - just goes to show how flexible our rides are! Then it was off to Cheynes Beach - Wes and Barbara had ridden their Ducati's from Bremer Bay to join us, giving them a chance to have a family picnic with Des and Betty.

Mal and Kelly turned up with their children, making it a family day. All up there were 26 bikes and 3 vehicles which including pillions and passengers which is a great turn-out. The weather was so good it was a shame to put the bike back in the shed. Thanks to Ray Closel and son Jesse for going back-up.
